My name is Simon Bennett and I've been a full time guitar tutor for over 20 years, during which time I have helped over 2500 people how to become the best guitarist they can possibly be.
I'm located in Hyde and have purposefully equipped room in my house that is dedicated to teaching. There is ample free parking outside on a quiet, easy to find cul-de-sac.
I teach ELECTRIC, ACOUSTIC, CLASSICAL, FINGERSTYLE and I am one of the few teachers in the UK able to offer TOUCHSTYLE lessons as well. If you dont know what this is all about then have a look at me playing in my videos section!!
Lessons are based around YOU, what YOU like to play, what YOU listen to and YOU enjoy. Every song can be adapted to suit your own playing ability.
If you wish to work towards accredited guitar grades I teach BOTH the Rockschool and RGT exam courses upto grade 8. These qualifications/grades are officially recognised and accredited by the QCA (Qualifications & Curriculum Authority) and DFES (Department for Education and Skills) both of which are official government bodies.
Former pupils I've taught have gone on to play gigs with and alongside some of the BIGGEST bands in the world including:
OASIS, PAUL WELLER, KASABIAN, DEEP PURPLE, OCEANSIZE, HAPPY MONDAYS, IAN BROWN, BUZZCOCKS, MINISTRY, THE ENEMY, THE CHARLATANS and MANY MORE!!

just wanted to say thank you for being a great guitar teacher, and spending time with me over the last couple of years. I really enjoy the lessons. One of the things I like best was learning to play tunes I knew as well as cool riffs, licks and techniques. I played 'Half the world away' at school and my friends were pretty impressed!
Thank you also for the last minute help before my practical exam - it gave me a lot of confidence and meant I've ended up passing my Grade 2.
